Project Summary (2010)
The project is to conduct interviews and research, document and digitize, and compile the historical experience of the early Chinese settlements, in Canada and in Eastern Ontario, who were affected by the Head Tax imposed by the Canadian immigration restrictions. This project will provide that material to the University of British Columbia who will then make available that history for the public.
